Static On Greenview- Trickshooter Social Club (Short film)

Created for the 2022 Rootstock Live Virtual Festival, this music visual and short film was developed in collaboration with Chicago-based band Trick Shooter Social Club. Designed to extend the band's music beyond a traditional performance piece, the project combined cinematic storytelling, visual experimentation, and live music culture into a single festival-focused production.

Filmed at Rax Trax Recording Studio in Chicago, Illinois, the project was one of my earliest directing experiences and required extensive planning before production began. Detailed storyboards, shot lists, and visual concepts were developed to ensure the final piece felt cohesive while capturing the personality and energy that define Trick Shooter Social Club.

Working alongside Director of Photography Sasha Kuznetsov and the members of the band, the production emphasized collaboration and adaptability throughout the creative process. Every scene was approached with the goal of creating a visual experience that felt authentic to the music while standing on its own as a short film.

Produced for Rootstock 2022, the project remains an important milestone in my development as a filmmaker and reflects the value of preparation, teamwork, and trusting the creative process when bringing ambitious ideas to life.
