Ajani Jones Vices

Vices was one of the most significant collaborations of my time working in Chicago, bringing together AJANI JONES, Brittney Carter, SOS, and a talented group of creatives committed to creating something authentic and visually compelling.

Under AJANI JONES' creative direction, the production focused on translating the energy and themes of the record into a visual experience that felt true to the music. AJANI has a unique ability to develop ideas and bring people together around a shared vision, creating an environment where creativity thrives and collaboration comes naturally.

Serving as Director of Photography and Editor, my role centered on capturing and shaping the visual language of the project. From camera composition and shot execution to post-production and final delivery, I worked closely with the team to help bring the vision to life while maintaining a cohesive look and feel throughout the piece.

More than a music video, Vices reflects the creative community that exists throughout Chicago—artists, filmmakers, musicians, and storytellers pushing one another to create something greater than they could alone. The project strengthened friendships, built lasting creative relationships, and remains a reminder of what can happen when talented people trust one another and commit to a shared vision.
